Amateur Gymnastics Medals & Trophies - Evie's story ......

Behind every medal there is a story, Evie is a wonderful little gymnast whose photo fell into our hands and we didn’t want to let go of it, read Evie’s story....

J.C.Trophies work with an amazing and talented photographer Darryl Thomas, whose company, One Day Older, encapsulates the essence of what we do in every image created.  Evie’s parents were searching for a children’s photographer who could capture her sporting achievements and striking looks.  Inspired by the J.C.Trophies photography campaign and having used Darryl in the past when Evie was younger, they approached One Day Older.  The resulting photo was stunning, a memento of when Evie dreamed big and achieved high.

Evie’s image is truly enchanting and we were even more amazed to see the medal around her neck shone out as one of J.C.Trophies gymnastics medals!  We approached Evie’s parents to find out more about this budding & beautiful gymnast.

Gymnast wearing 70mm gymnastic medal

Evie is a talented amateur gymnast, she started off going to gymnastics when she was about 18 months old and her mum literally spent the entire session chasing her around from one apparatus to another.  She moved on to Saturday morning sessions at a local school, where she stood out for her ability. From there she discovered a YouTube family in America who are gymnasts and that was the turning point - she eats, sleeps and breathes gymnastics, practising non-stop and never giving up until she's got it right.  Evie now attends a local club in Solihull, Rebound Gymnastics, who offer an extremely high standard of amateur gymnastics.  She has won the 6 year old Best Vault trophy, along with Best in Age and we are sure there are more great things to come.  Does Evie’s story sound familiar?

There are so many amazing gymnasts in the UK, from amateur to competitive levels and here at J.C.Trophies we manufacture gymnastic awards for both.  GB gymnastics is growing in popularity year on year, never more so demonstrated by the number of local gymnastic clubs with long waiting lists of girls dreaming of becoming the next Rebecca Downie, Ellie Downie, Beth Tweddle or Simone Biles.  Gymnastics provides not only fitness and amazing aerobic skills but also discipline, commitment and team spirit.  All these things combined, produce a fine gymnast and most importantly equipts girls and boys with life skills they will take with them forever.

competitive and regional gymnastic trophies

Like so many gymnastic mums, Evie’s mum spends her life telling Evie to ‘be careful, could you please sit still, Evie could you please not keep going upside down when you've just finished your dinner!!’  So, for all those gymnastic parents, next time your budding Olympian is upside down for the hundredth time of the day, be proud and rest assured you are not alone!  In fact, it is the ‘little Evie’s’, that keep inspiring us to make beautiful awards.  As long as gymnasts can cartwheel and bounce, we'll keep producing trophies and medals to make them jump just that little bit higher!
